Bryan Goldberger is a partner in the firm. In 1980, he received his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Delaware where he was elected to Phi Betta Kappa. Mr. Goldberger received his J.D. degree from Albany Law School in 1984. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the US District Court for the Northern District of New York, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and before the United States Supreme Court.

Since his admission to the bar in 1985, Bryan J. Goldberger has represented public and private sector employers in union organizing matters, day to day employee relations issues, wage and hour matters, collective bargaining, matters arising under General Municipal Law Section 207-a and 207-c, mediation and arbitration proceedings, and defense of employers before State and Federal Courts and administrative agencies.

From 1996 through January, 1999, Goldberger and Kremer served as Outside Labor Relations Counsel to the County of Rensselaer. From 1999-2017, Mr. Goldberger served as Special Counsel for Labor Relations and Personnel to the County of Rensselaer, working out of the Office of the Rensselaer County Attorney. In that capacity, he handled all labor relations matters for the County’s nearly 2000 employees and negotiated the County’s collective bargaining agreements with the various unions representing its employees. Mr. Goldberger teaches municipal employee relations and collective bargaining as part of the New York Conference of Mayors’ Fall Training Program and has also presented at NYCOM’s Public Works School and annual Legislative Conference on such topics as employee disciplinary proceedings, civil service law, wage and hour matters and labor contract administration.

From 2014 through 2017, Mr. Goldberger served as Special Counsel to the Albany County Legislature. In that capacity, he provided counsel to the Chair of the Legislature, and handled litigation, labor relations issues and policy matters.

Mr. Goldberger has also spoken before the Labor and Employment Law Section of the New York State Bar Association regarding trends and strategies in public sector collective bargaining and issues arising in the workplace due to the use of social media.

Bryan Goldberger is a member of the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section), New York State Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section), Pennsylvania Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section), Albany County Bar Association, Schenectady County Bar Association, and the New York State Public Employer Relations Association.
